Local Evri Parcelshop Text Scam Parcel Payment Fee

I’ve just received a text message stating my Evri parcel needs an extra £1.45 to pay. Normally I would ignore these things as I see so many of them, but I had just sent a parcel via my local Evri drop-off shop. Although I thought it could be a scam, I still wondered if I’d paid the wrong amount and so pressed the link just in case it was real, and it took me to a very well-made Evri-looking website with a tracking number! All I had to do was continue and pay. Obviously, I checked the tracking number I have on the genuine Evri website and of course, no issues.

It just still amazes me the trouble that these scammers go to, and the thousands of people who probably sadly do press that link and pay. It’s such a small amount, but if a few thousand people think it’s real, that’s a few thousand pounds in their pockets very quickly.
