There is a person on Kijiji, claiming to be selling kittens, and who knows what else. They are very professional in their chat with you, and take your payment for their animals. They use auto deposit for email money transfers, and then tell you they haven’t received funds. Eventually they claim that you are trying to scam them, & they disappear. This person scammed me out of $250, and was trying to get another $200 before I caught on. Please share & warn as many people as possible. The name they use is "Bailey Mackenzie Opolony". The Kijiji name is Hailey P. Let’s help to stop this person from scamming other people
What to Do if I've Been Scammed
If you’ve experienced fraud, please contact Kijiji and report the incident to your local police department. Hang onto your file number for future reference. If you find suspicious activity on your credit report, you should update your file with the police.
In the case of online fraud where money has been transferred, report the incident to the financial institution that transferred the funds (such as your bank). Lastly, it is recommended that you contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre toll free at 1-888-495-8501 or through the Fraud Reporting System.
