There is an Amtrak $1 Card scam circulating on Facebook. The scam claims potential victims can get an Amteak card for $1.00. But, this is only to coerce them into some useless subscription disguised as an Amtrak gift card giveaway. If potential victims attempt to sign up, they will be charged $49.78 instead of the $1 they were promised. And, they will be given an 855 telephone number that doesn’t even ring.
