  • Fake Websites: The link leads to a, fraudulent website that mirrors the official Macquarie website.
  • Data Theft: If you enter your login details (Macquarie ID, password) or personal information, criminals can use this to access your accounts.
  • How to Protect Yourself:
    • Do not click links: Never click on links in SMS or email messages that claim to be from the bank.
    • Verify Independently: Log in directly via the official Macquarie website or app.
    • Ignore Urgency: Scammers often use threats, such as "your account will be locked" or "points will expire" to make you act quickly.
    • Report it: Forward any suspicious emails to scams@macquarie.com.
