Beware of Fake iPhone 7 Free Giveaway Posts Asking Facebook Users to Share or Comment On

Facebook users are advised to delete or remove posts offering them a chance to receive a free new iPhone 7 smartphone if they share or comment on the same posts. The fake posts are being used to collect personal information and trick Facebook users into visiting websites that offer them a so-called chance to win an iPhone 7 in return for their mobile phone numbers. But, Facebook users will never receive the iPhone 7 they were promised, and by providing their mobile numbers and personal information, they are actually subscribing to expensive SMS or text message services that will charge several dollars to their accounts every time they receive SMS messages from the service providers they tricked into signing up with.

And, the people responsible for the fake posts will receive a commission from every SMS message sent to the people who they have tricked into signing up with the service providers. Facebook users may not notice the legal clause in fine print on the same websites, which states by participating, they are giving consent to the charges.
