Digicel promotion scam alert. Digicel is advising customers to be on alert for a scam in which text messages are sent asking them to call a number in order to claim a prize. The numbers identified so far are +0037127912981,+37127912900, and +0037127955046. Digicel is urging everyone to avoid calling these numbers as this is not a legitimate promotion.

Help Digicel stop these scams by providing them with the information below on their Facebook page:

PLEASE NOTE that Digicel will only contact you from 619-5000, 380-0057, 619-1525 or SMS from 400, 137 and 142 regarding Digicel’s promotions.

I received the following: Congratulations. Digicel phone, informing me that my mobile is Winner, dls 75,000 and a vehicle, 4 x 4, more information, tel 0050246982843.
My mobile is 095757***, I wonder if the promotion is legitimate. I have the name of the officer and I call tomorrow at 11 hrs of my country, Uruguay.

I received this in Spanish as well big scam.......
Felicidades! Telefonia Digicel te Informa que eres Ganador (a) de $50,000 dls y un vehiculo Mdl 2,013 llama ya al Tel:01150258331835.

Translation:

Congrats! Digicel Telephony Tells you you're Winner (a) of $ 50,000 and a vehicle Mdl dls 2,013 calls and at Tel: 01150258331835.
