American Airlines Scam - "Giving away 5 Tickets to 300 People for 2 Week Trip to Bora Bora"

The Facebook post and page below, which state: "Great news, we're giving away 5 tickets each to 300 people for a 2 week trip to Bora Bora in a 5 star hotel with $5,000 spending money," are a scam. Thousands of Facebook users are being tricked into "liking", sharing or commenting on the fake American Airlines Facebook page hosting the post. Facebook users are advised not to follow the instructions in the post or on the fake Facebook webpage.

Facebook users who have received the fake post below on their Facebook Wall or Timeline, are ask to report it as spam or delete it. And, are ask to always check with the legitimate American Airlines Facebook page located at www.facebook.com/AmericanAirlines to verify the authenticity of a promotion.

By liking,commenting on and sharing the scam, you are only helping to spread it to other Facebook users and making the scammers responsible for this, earn money. Scammers earn money when they make a page popular and are able to sell it to the highest bidder, along with the names and other public information of the persons who liked or shared the scam.
