The link in the email goes to a fake Netflix webpage where visitors are asked to sign-in. But, any attempts to sign-in will result in visitors' credentials being sent to the cybercriminals behind the scam. Once the cybercriminals have gotten the stolen credentials, they will hijack their victims' Netflix accounts and use them fraudulently. This is why Netflix users should never click on a link to sign into their accounts. They should instead, go directly to www.netflix.com and sign into their accounts from there. This is the most effective way of preventing Netflix phishing scams, that is, preventing cybercriminals from tricking Netflix users into visiting fake websites that steal account credentials. The "Netflix Unauthorized Activity Detected" Phishing ScamFrom: Netflix <ZZ_Rider1160-638981908967604510384859@ns67.1and1.co.uk>Sent: Friday, October 19, 2018 8:37 PMSubject: RE: New Statment Update : After logging in to your account, we'll guide you through the steps to update your account and be more secure [Cuenta de servicio] Algunas informaciones en su cuenta se han actualizado para iniciar sesion.
