Scamming - Fraud
I was involved in a scam this weekend via text messages. The number they used to send me the texts was 631-246-4521. They robbed me of $1500. I am on a very fixed income, and 80 years old. Evidently, this is a phishing scam. I hope all of these crooks go to hell. The scammer claimed I am to receive a donation from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Charity, but I had to pay a fee before receiving it.
But, once the fee was paid, the scammers disappear and I did not receive the donation I was promised. I will never send money to receive money because now I know that is how online scammers steal money from their victims.

this number is being use in a scam, had the same thing happen to us this morning.I knew it was a scam, they couldn't name the grant it was supposedly from, also what person in their right mind takes a picture of $150K on the kitchen table unless its a drug dealer.They did use a picture from one of our friends to try and make it more convincing. I think they hacked that persons facebook to do it. We called the person to let them know what was going on.
