The fake email is being sent by cybercriminals who are attempting to trick Earthlink customers into clicking on it, which goes to a fake and phishing Earthlink website. The phishing website steals Earthlink account credentials (username and password) by asking visitors to sign-in. If the visitors attempt to sign-in, their account username and password will be sent to the cybercriminals, who will use it gain access to their accounts and use them fraudulently.
