The "Mrs. Maria Franca Fissolo" Donation Scam Being Sent by Scammers

Looks like I'm not the only one who received this scam email, I got one saying "I believe you received a donation from Maria" who I don't even know so I deleted the email.

This is the letter I received and my reply.

My late husband always advised me to help people all over the world, I am doing this to make sure his dream is completely realized.

I have Part of my wealth to my sons and they have made tremendous improvements in areas of business .However, I intend to share the rest to people who are in need and in trying times due to the negative effects of Covid 19. I would be happy to cede part of it out to you. It is my Hope that you are able to receive this money and help others from it too.

First and foremost, how are you presently feeling? I hope you are doing as well as possible. Stay close to family and friends and live each day to the fullest. Make a bucket list and try to complete everything on that list, it will give you something to look forward to and most of all, smile and be happy. People enjoy being around those that smile, it brings them joy. I only have a few, less than three friends and many times I call them to speak to them and talk about what I am daily facing. Why?

In your act of kindness, you have no idea whom you have reached. I am a single parent with a child that has scoliosis, autism and a brain tumor. I am constantly in hospitals making sure she is okay and the tumor isn't growing. My daughter gets severe headaches, sleeps over 12 hours and most of the time is in bed. I die a little bit each day, but I smile in her presence.

My mother, who lives with me is suffering from dementia and some days she is better than others. It is a horrible disease that slowly creeps up on you without giving you the chance to fight back.

When I received your letter, first I cried, because of the dementia. Every day I see my mom slowly fading away and there is nothing I can do. I remember her young, dancing in the kitchen while making breakfast and now she barely cooks. When she does try to cook, I have to watch her to make sure the stove is turned off. Cancer is just one of the diseases that slowly eats you away. I can only begin to imagine what your day is like and I really wish God looks upon you and blesses you with all the love, compassion and care you need.

You would be doing an act of kindness for my daughter and my mother, if such a gift really came to fruition. I can help them with better doctors and home assistance. I can then work and not have to worry about constantly watching over them.

Yes I got an email stating that I had been picked as well as others, to make a huge donation to me. Pretty much the same thing as the email before me ... so it is a scam, bummer lol

Ok, but she has not asked me for anything but my name and address? And said that’s all she needed to send the funds? They cannot do anything with just your name and address? She never asked for money or anything she could do anything with?

That is only the beginning. After collecting your information, the scammers will sell it to other scammers who will contact you and attempt to trick into sending them money.

The email address is a fake and a scam.

I have received a letter from Maria, supposedly but just to me and no orphanage for the 2,200,000 dollars. When they said open an offshore account ranging from 1,200 dollars to 3,000 dollars I figured I would check on a site in her name.

Tell her I hope she is still enjoying life and if she really wants to send me money that would be fine with me. I do wish her good will and good health.
