Questions and Answers
Over the past few weeks, I have received emails from an att-mail.com email address like the one below claiming I should call 877-285-1205. I want to know if the telephone number is owned by AT&T.

I'm not sure if the telephone number is legit or not because I cannot find it on AT&T's website. But, if you have doubts about an email message which appears to have been sent from AT&T, give them a call at 1.888.855.2338. The telephone number above was taken from AT&T's website at: https://tech360.att.com/att/contact-us/
Also, the att-mail.com domain, which the emails came from, is owned by AT&T, but it doesn't necessarily means the emails you were sent came from AT&T. Remember, email messages can be spoofed. Spoofed emails can be sent by cybercriminals from their email addresses and then be made to appear as if they came from AT&T email addresses when the recipients receive them.

My wife fell in the scam and they got 2 iPhone from a BestBuy from New Jersey. I don't understand why Att do nothing about them because for sure, they have been recorded in the store cameras and they are using the same phone number since March 2019.
Yeah, these guys are scammers - their phone number sounds legit, but their email is what's suspect. AT&T would use att.com/att.net if it was legit.
I called AT&T and this is not a legitimate phone number for them. This email was received after a suspicious phone call from MY OWN NUMBER with a supposed AT&T fraud representative on the other end. As soon as he asked me to repeat the text message he was sending me; I felt uncomfortable. He said my account had been hacked and someone was buying two new iPhone XR phones on my account.
