The "Geek Squad Subscription Renewed" email below is a scam. The fake email is being sent by online scammers who are attempting to trick their potential victims into calling the fake Geek Squad helpline numbers (931) 740-0377 or (931) 288-4341. Therefore, recipients are asked not to call the fake telephone numbers. The legit Geek Squad telephone number is 1-800-433-5778.

got a Email saying I was going to be g\charged 249.00 on my account said it was Greek Squid
June 21, 2021Received renewal of my "plan" being charged today with very limited time to agree or cancel. It was from something called "HOPE" but was similar to the Geek Squad examples above. I double deleted and will check my bank accounts daily.
This is the one I received in my WORK email. I never had support plus from the small purchases I've made from Best Buy. This morning I received the same scam. However I am in Panama and we have no Best Buy or Geek Squad. Furthermore I do not have banking for them to charge. So suggested they take their scam to rich Americans. Not my coungry where average income is $550 a month where we have no money available for such things.

She seemed very nervous- I pressed her a number of times for what was listed on the invoice and the services that I had never signed up for as I had never spoken with them or contracted with them for anything...she told me that I had to "cancel" the the service or I would be charged, for "security services on my drive" or I would be charged for it, and to cancel it I had to fill out their information form to cancel it.Completely fraudulent obviously, I pressed her for her business address and her company's website address and she of course hung up
