The "Home Depot Customer Appreciation Giveaway" text messages below, which claim customers will receive $100 credit, is a scam. The fake Home Depot text messages are being sent by scammers or cybercriminals who are attempting to trick their potential victims into visiting a phishing website. Therefore, recipients of the "Home Depot Customer Appreciation Giveaway" scam texts are asked not to click the link in them.

The links in the scam text go to phishing websites that steal account credentials, personal and financial information.

Uh oh. I got a different one that said to enter to win a tool shed. I entered and supposedly won but they needed shipping so I sent it. It was only $9.95, but if it's a scam, they have my bank info now. Arg! I really really hope that one was real cause I DID just rate some things I bought from there.

Get several of these a week 1AM in the morning! Unable to block them but delete them immediately. Sick of these scammers.

I can't block it, but delete right away.

I got the text today. I looked up the weekend getaway prize on the computer and saw that only one prize of $5000 would be awarded. Anything else is definitely a scam.
