RBC Royal Bank Prize Payment Order Scam

Scam warning - Online users are asked to be on the lookout for the "RBC Royal Bank Prize Payment Order" scam. The scam (see below), is an advance fee scam that tricks potential victims into believing RBC Royal Bank has a payment for them that was received from a fake lottery. If contacted, the scammers will ask their potential victims to send payment or personal information before their so-called payment can be disbursed. But, if the potential victims send their money, the scammers will take it and disappear, and the victims left without the so-called payment they were promised.

Also, the website hxxp://rbcbank@rbcbankgroup.com is a fake created by scammers. The legitimate website is located at https://www.rbcroyalbank.com.

Victims of the "RBC Royal Bank Prize Payment Order" scam are asked to contact their bank and the police for help.

Your VisaCard is the smartest and most convenient means of receiving and managing your prize money.Your VisaCard prize is simply your cash power.Attached is a copy of your gold VISACard prize with its linked statement of account.

Your gold VisaCard is already loaded with your prize amount, and ready to be delivered to your doorstep in South Africa by RBC Courier Services.Upon receipt of your VisaCard, you can use your gold VisaCard just like any other regular bank debit card to withdraw your prize money in your local currency from any standard Automated Teller Machine(ATM) in South Africa, or any part of the world where VISACard is accepted.You can also make purchases from any store or shop with VISA Point-of-Sale(POS) merchant.

Under the prescribed payment regulations of the UK Financial Services Authority(FSA), you are required for authorization and delivery of your VisaCard prize, to submit your prize verification documents and to provide mandatory payment of the insured courier delivery fee-ZAR3,000(Three thousand South African Rands). Note importantly that the FSA insurance regulations prohibits RBC Royal Bank from deducting the insured courier delivery fees or any amount off your VisaCard prize. Therefore it is your responsibility to pay for the insured courier delivery fees.

RBC Royal Bank has tried severally with difficulties connecting to your telephone number. RBC Courier Services will contact you for confirmation and instructions to submit your prize payment verification documents, payment of your insured courier delivery fees and confirmation of your delivery address. You must adhere strictly to the verification process and instructions which will be advised by RBC Courier Services.
