I got the same message a few days ago. But then decided to "Research" the offer on the web. Found you guys. Yep "Scam" I'll stick with my Fitbit.

Just recieved this same message for my January Bill - It really 'looks' legit. I clicked the link, and it took me to a site with a take survey button and some reviews. It had 7 questions which I answered. They were all generic questions with no personal info. After that it landed me on a page with a button to Claim My Reward. What made me pause is that it said if I left the page they would have no choice but to not give the watch (Not exact, but something like that).

Then I searched and found this forum. I changed my Verizon password just in case and exited out of that browser session.

I assume if I tried to claim the prize I would get asked for my CC info for S&H as some responses here say.

They will actually send you a real watch if you pay shipping & handling but then, they charge your card 27.23 a month for joining their "health & wellness" site. total scam

How did you contact them to cancel or get a refund?

I experienced the same thing. I paid 7.95 for s&h. Called the bank disputed the charges and canceled the card. The weird thing is I actually received the watch today?! I'm too scared to download the app that is required. So the watch only has limited features. It seems legit but I will probably give it to my kid since I won't be downloading the app or uploading any information to it.

Verizon should police their networks. There is no excuse for these law breaking scammers to get away with this.Where is the A.G.>FCC.This is a felony. punish the offenders to the full extent of the law.Prison for 5 years. That would probably fix the problem. An example of Trumpism.Break the law and through it in our face and brag about how you beat the system.

I just received this exact email from “Verizon”,. I started to enter in my information but stopped at the card payment because something smelt a little fishy. Glad I did stop and then came across this post. Thank you for the heads up, I bet more people are still falling for this.

I fell for this exact Phishing scam and being charged $119.98 twice for responding to what I thought was a official Verizon Offer. What can I do to recover the money being charged to my Bank Card

Yes, I received such a message. I figured it was a trick since ultimately one sees "rowefriesen.xyz" as the sender. Moreover, for about 10 years, "Page Plus" has been our cell phone provider-not Verizon-although Page P links to Verizon. Our bill is significantly less than what it would be if we were directly linked to Verizon.
