Walmart Giveaway Scam - Free Gift Bags for Everyone

The Walmart Facebook giveaway post below is a scam. Walmart is warning customers not to fall the giveaway scam circulating on social media. The scam, which claims Walmart is giving away gift bags to celebrate going plastic bag free by end of 2021, has been created by scammers to harvest personal information. Therefore, Facebook or other social media users who have received the fake post are asked not to comment or share it because they will not receive the free gift bags they were promised.

“To celebrate the great news of Walmart becoming plastic bags free by the end of 2021, we are giving one of these Walmart gift-bags to everyone who has shared & commented by 7pm 24th March.”
