I received a fax from 778-358-7635 claiming to be a Cruz Law Firm, Winnipeg, Canada, from a Phillip Mann, supposedly partner in said law firm. The scam nnounced 13,030,000 in "United States Dollars" for a deceased resident of Canada.
It amazes how the exchange rate came up with an even number and what worker would have 16,000,000 CN$ in life insurance? The letter goes on to state if not claimed, the money "must be turned over to the property division of the state after 10 years".
Look most Americans know little about Canada but surely most know Canada is divided into provinces not states.

Yes, same fax here also. Happens that our fax deceased name is same as co-worker's brother. Amazing how many shall receive the $13,030,000!
I received the same fax this morning with my last name as the deceased as well. From fax # 14378879134

I just got this fax at work as well. The deceased allegedly shares the same last name as the owner of this company, the life insurance policy is worth $13,030,000 US, etc...It's so poorly done and I can't believe people fall for this, but someone must if they keep trying.
Received this same fax at the office this morning. Saw the obvious fake but wow! They wouldnt still be trying this hoaky scheme if someone wasnt falling for it. I feel sorry for those who have fallen prey and lost their hard earned money. Please warn you loved ones not to get excited about these schemes and remember "If it sounds too good to be true, It is"
