I got a call from a lady listed as being from Forrest City, NC. That phone number is 828-229-8883. I acted interested out of curiosity. She transferred me to Edward Escamilla. I was near certain it was a scam and asked if I could call him back. He said yes, and gave me his name and a callback telephone number: 919-822-7024. After I hung up, I had a strong feeling that something was not right and looked up Pinehurst Funding. I found that my feeling was right. There are a lot of reports about Pinehurst Funding.
I am extremely concerned as I answered with "Yes" to two or three questions the initial call that called asked me. I have since learned never to say "Yes" to a person that you do not know who calls. I am looking for some type of consumer assistance for my experience; I am very concerned about possible impending fraud.

They called and missed me with this number 18052031460.
I figured out how to get them to stop calling!1. I called back the phone number and spoke with Sophie Rodriguez. She sent me a loan application from regalcapgroup.com and directfundingnow.com.2. I looked up the owners: https://opencorporates.com/companies/us_ca/2015033101203. I filed a complaint with the FCC here: https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=397444. Call Direct Funding Now at 1-800-399-5714 and let them know (politely) that you have filed a complaint with the FCC and would like to be removed from their robocall campaign. They were even nice about taking me off the list!
I got the same call from 8052031460. In the voicemail, they did not identify the company name. This is Kate calling you back... Based on your business's D&B report you still qualify for a very large line of credit... I don't own a business!

It's Friday November 11 2022. I just received a call from Pinehurst funding at 2:00 the number is 1-805-203-1460 I did not answer the call but looked it up and it said it was a scam call.
