The EDD alert scam text from 8437130566, which claims the recipients' Visa Prepaid card has been blocked due to suspicious activities, is being sent by scammers. The aim of the scam is to trick recipients into clicking the link in the scam fake EDD alert text that goes to a phishing website. The phishing website steals account credentials, personal or financial information.

The EDD alert text scam is also being sent from other 843 area code telephone numbers, not just from 18437130566.
