It seems as if scammers are asking potential victims to call 18773103181. The scammers send fake text messages to their potential victims and ask them to call 877-310-3181. Therefore, recipients of text messages from 8773103181 or text messages asking them to call the same telephone number asked not to do so.

This is what I got:"AccountUpdate(AMAZ0N_Order#118701)-:We've noticed a recent purchase of $503.35 from your card on 03.30.2022, 01:21 PM. Contact 8773103181 if NOT you."

Got this text: ALERT: You have a pending transaction of $454.7 for you last 0rder#182744. Contact us on 18773103181 if not done by you. The text came from 1-561-543-6872.
ALERT: You have a Pending transaction of $440.98 for your last Order#153837. Contact us on 18773103181 if not done by you.

My scam text says ALERT: Dear customer, your order#178702 is now being processed. Total cost will be $558.69. Contact Customer Care on 18773103181 now to cancel. Thanks for the info on this site to verify it is a scam.
Same text. "Transaction alert $402.48 will be debited from your card for your last 0rderID#182634. Contact us on 18773103181 if you wish to cancel." Note the misspelling of Order with a 0 instead of O.
My husband got same txt but his cost was 825.77

I got one just now. Doesn’t have my name or what it’s for or from. Just call to cancel an order or my card will be charged $500
Hey all, glad this info was out here but they don’t all say Venmo. Just FYI. I about freaked cause I’d just used a credit card a couple times at grocery store and thought I had been overcharged.

Received a similar text the one I got reads as follows: "Transaction alert $696.07 will be debited from your card for your last ORDERID#...... Contact us on 18773103181 if you wish to cancel."Personally glad I was able to do a quick search on the web and find this thread of reported instances so that I can avoid making any type of connection. Same happened to me. I got a text message saying there was suspicious activity on my Venmo account and gave that number

Same here, text state I recently attached our checking account to Venmo for a 720.00 transaction. Contact Customer service at 877-310-3181 if not done by me. All beware.
I received the same text from 415-723-6418 as above about a Venmo account for the same amount.

Yes just received MSG of $ 720 debited from checking account for Venmo purchase. Called on this number so they are asking Last name and if not provide them they will hang up.

I got a text message saying if I didn’t open my bank account and sent 720 to Venmo

Also received a text stating that I attached my checking account to venom for a transaction of $720.

received text from 954 268 0739 about a cc purchase and to call 877 310 3181
Just got one right now from a phone number 6892479733. Stating I had purchased something from my Visa Debit Card (don't have one) for an online store purchase of Venmo for 727.18. Don't call they are a scam.
