Scammers are sending the Local Depot 26 scam text below with a link to the phishing website local-depot26.com. The phishing website purports to be the UK Post Office and claims there was an attempt to deliver a parcel but no one was in. It then requests a fee for the re-delivery and requests your credit card details and security code. But, if the requested information is sent, it will be used fraudulently.

Received the same text saying that Sam tried to deliver a package etc. PO either in times of covid leave a package in the porch or put a card through the door. This is the second attempt to get money out of me in two months.
Received the same from ‘Sam’ this morning deleted
Received same message except the name was 'Sam' not 'Jamie'. Immediately deleted it.

So I didn’t enter my card details, but they may be able to use my other details fraudulently somehow.

No, not unless you click the link and submit your financial information on the phishing website you will be taken to.
I also got a message just like the above Monday 27 June 2022 at 20:54 with local-depot26.com address in it purporting to be from 'Sam' who apparently tried to deliver a parcel to me today from the Post Office. Unfortunately, for them, I've been at home ALL DAY so I wouldn't have missed him and I actually saw him putting my post through my letter box and he didn't knock or try to get my attention because he had a parcel for me. These bXXXXXXs need to be shut down! The number of texts, emails etc I get from scammers is b****y ridiculous now. What I'm more concerned about is those that actually fall for it and give out their details. Anyway, obviously scammers are still active in relation to the Post Office.
Exactly the same SMS message except my mysterious deliver guy/girl was called Sam! Hate these things. I always Google them and straight away see that it’s a scam. Local-depot 26 = scam!!!

Took me to website where I immediately had to start entering details. Put in made up stuff and it sequentially demanded my postcode at which it did a “searching for branch” and showed me a map of uk with a blob highlighted, then wanted address, email, date of birth and mobile number. It did a “searching for parcel” and then said a redelivery fee of £1.20 so demanded my card details.Could be quite easy to fall for it so I hope someone shuts this down.

My wife nearly got sucked into this one. She had filled name, address, email but stalled at request for Dob.it is the old sales pitch; simple questions leading into the TRAPAsking your site revealed the scam thank you

Just had the same text. I am expecting something so googled the linka nd went straight to what appeared to be a genuine PO website. I put my name DOB and address in an dthen when it went to paytment, then I realised scam.. PO never asks for payment for re-delivery. Alot of people outhere not as sharp as me so I expect many will fall for it.
Adam tried to deliver your parcel toda yat 8:56p.m.....etc. Interestingly I was ACTUALLY out at the time and expecting something. Bizarrely I was on the phone and my phone started ringing the number the text had come from whilst I was on the phone to someone else. Sure enough, it's a scam, but is it coincidence Hermes were supposed to be delivering to me?

Received exact same text from “adam” just now - 03:27. Typed local depot 26 into google and this scam warning came up thankfullySickens me!! As someone will get caught out by this

I got the message today, started to enter details then realised it was dodgy when they asked for bank details. Hoping the details I entered haven’t been stored for other scams and glad I didn’t give bank or card details
I’ve received the same text from Adam but luckily I saw that it was a scam on here so didn’t respond to it.

I have received these before and knew it was a scam but some people unfortunately will fall for it - so unfair :-(
