Scammers are sending Regions Alert text scam messages to potential victims asking them to call 8064191755 and other 806 area code telephone numbers. The scam text messages contain "email@example.com", which will make potential victims think they are legit, but that is a fake Regions Bank email address. The fake text messages will claim that an unusual transaction has been detected on the recipient's card so it has been temporarily locked. The recipient is then instructed to call 806-419-1755 or other 806 area code telephone numbers for help.
But, if the fake telephone numbers are called, the recipients of the scams text messages will end up talking to scammers who will attempt to trick them into disclosing their account credentials, personal and financial information, which they will use fraudulently.
If you were tricked into disclosing your financial information or account credentials by a Regions Bank scam text, please contact your bank directly for help.
If you have received a Regions Bank scam text , please share it in a comment below to help inform others. Please include the telephone number it came from.
