It seems the telephone number 8444951471 is being used by scammers pretending to be from Bank of America. Therefore, I recommend that people take precautions if they are asked to call the number, receive a call, or text from it.

I also received this fake scamming text that said this:“(Verify Activity: $220.67 Purchase -TARGET In San Francisco,CA On 7/23/2023 . Yes? Reply Y. No? Use: 844) 495-1471 To Ask For Help. Ref No: HFP”Beware of these attempts. All you have to do to verify is call your bank directly or click on name of person who sent text, then info to view is their phone number is correct. Also to verify a transaction you normally hit Y for Yes or N for No. You do not have to call a phone number phone number. Hope this info helps.
I received a text message from this number. I knew it was fraud because I do not have a bank america account. The worst bank ever.
