Scamming - Fraud
The Le Creuset Free Giveaway scam is falsely advertising free Le Creuset cookware, using the names of celebrities like Joanna Gaines, Rachael Ray, Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, Paula Deen, Martha Stewart, and Trisha Yearwood. These ads appear on Facebook, TikTok and Instagram, promising a chance to win Le Creuset sets. However, these celebrities are not involved in these offers. The scam leads people to websites that secretly charge money. The ads use famous names to attract people, but their real goal is to make people pay hidden fees.

My mother-in-law "won" this scam contest. Thankfully she asked me if she should be suspicious before she completed checking out.
In a brain fog moment I ordered the product. Had buyers remorse an hour later but could not cancel per bank until out of the pending stageTwo days later received call from Bank regarding a $79.95 charge by same company. Bank declined charge and canceled my card. New one to be issued. Funds returned. No more late pm shopping
PEOPLE! Don't be gullible. You can tell those ads are so fake. That's not their voices, and the words don't match their mouths! Only use reputable companies, like Amazon, Walmart.com, etc. If it's a name that you don't recognize, ALWAYS GOOGLE IT! I also never use links- no one knows where that can lead you. If I want to know more, I Google the web address or the company. Please don't fall for these scams! Always use common sense! You can't get FREE stuff! It's just not going to happen! And watch out for your elderly relatives. They get targeted the most.
I used a low amount gift card. Can they keep trying to get money
They've been running these scams for several years now, featuring different celebrities. On giveaway is that star and the voice-over are never in sinc. Also, the copy always say they only have 4 sets left. I try to always google for a scam before buying.
I just gave my name did not give info on my account can they still get money?
No, but be careful going forward.
I fell for it as well and paid the $9.99 shipping. BEWARE! Watch your credit card statements! They came back and tried to charge an additional $159.99 to my card, which luckily was declined. (Whew!) I don't believe there's any getting our money back. Just beware of future charges on your account.

If you fall for this scam how can you verify purchase?
