Scammers are making robocalls from 407-612-7120, which callerID shows as "Advent Health", but the recorded message says it's Bank of America calling about some charge at a Target in Chicago, Illinois. "If this is you, dial 1" otherwise it directs you to call 833-418-6291 or dial 8 to speak with a representative.

What BoA Will Never Do

To protect yourself, keep these hard rules in mind:

  • Bank of America will never text, email, or call you to ask for your account authorization code, PIN, or online banking password.
  • Bank of America will never call you and ask you to transfer, withdraw, or move money (including through Zelle or wire transfers) to resolve a fraud alert.

If You Received a Call

  • Hang up immediately. Do not press buttons or reply to any voice prompts.
  • Do not call back. Never use a callback number provided by the caller or left on a voicemail.
  • Initiate contact yourself. Always call the official number on the back of your debit or credit card, or visit the official Bank of America website directly to reach customer service.

This is just one of the many bank of america scam calls. The scammers will change the telephone numbers they called from and asked potential victims to call.
