Common Discount & Renewal Scams

• The Overpriced / Fake Discount Scam: Third-party imposter websites or third-party resellers use the official logo to sell fake, pirated, or heavily marked-up "lifetime" or "discounted" licenses.
• The Fake Order Confirmation (Phishing): You receive an email claiming you purchased or renewed a Malwarebytes Premium subscription for an inflated price (e.g., $400+). The email provides a fraudulent "support phone number" to cancel the charge.
• Tech Support Scam Calls: If you call the number in the fake email, a scammer will try to gain remote access to your computer (often via tools like TeamViewer), claim your system is infected, and demand payment to "fix" it.
