Australian astrologer Jessica Adams claims that on 12/12/12 the stressful pattern between Mercury and Neptune will cause chaos for computer networks like the internet. She is not sure what catastrophe will hit the computer networks but warned us to be prepared. Should you back-up your digital photos and documents before this so-called disaster strikes?
Do you remember the Y2K scares back in 1999, when millions of persons though that the world would returned to the Stone Age. This seems to be similar scare, but is not taken that seriously. I bought a computer in December 1999 and was crucified by my mother, who knew nothing about computers, that all computers will crash on January 1, 2000. Oh, my poor and sweet mother heard about the Y2K bug from her friends and didn’t bother to ask me, who was the computer genius in the house-hold.
If you want me to believe something, you must first show me prove or give me more information. The lady just said there would be a disaster and we should not ignore the warnings. Also, she claims that the threat will return on 21/12/212 which will be the end of the Mayan calendar. Some astrologers and scientists believe that the end of The Mayan calendar is the day that the world will end.
The only thing that she said, that made sense to me, is that the computer group of hackers known as “Anonymous” threatens to attach computers on the internet on 21/12/2012.
Well, for me life goes on. I have learnt that you can’t believe everything that people say. I make back-up copies of my data every day long before this so-call threat. This is because my computer and other devices can crash, be destroyed, stolen or my data online (e-mails, documents) can be hacked.
