I received a message from a Facebook friend about the 'list' my name might be on. The name of the person to contact was Nancy Allen (662)487-6067. She stated that I was on the list to receive money from the federal government Workers Compensation and DHHS. I deleted the messages once I realized it was a scam.
Facebook users are asked to delete or ignore messages that claim they are lottery winners because their names were found on a winning list. The fake messages are sent by cybercriminals and recipients should not respond to them with their personal information or follow the instructions in them, even if the messages appear as if they were sent by a friend or family member.
Scammers have cloned or hijacked some Facebook users' accounts, and are sending fake messages to their friends. The messages claim the recipients are winners of Facebook sweepstakes, lottery or promotion. But, Facebook currently has no such lottery, sweepstakes or promotions.
