A few persons have told me that they have received scam telephone calls from a 628 area code. If you have calls from area code 628, please share experiences with me by leaving a comment below. 628 is a California telephone area code for San Francisco and its northern suburbs in Marin County (across the Golden Gate), and the northeast corner of San Mateo County.

(628) 432-9861 claimed to be border patrol in El Paso, TX and that they had intercepted a suspicious package with my name on it.
Received a 628.628.7306 text message saying I had too click too confirm me having and account there contacted Amazon I have no authorized purchase for that amount that they said after I proceed with the confirmation I will be sent a refund too my bank the text looked funny and what made me real suspicious they will refund too my designated account not happening
some scam claiming intercepted package going to an older address was intercepted from Mexico with fake ID's and drivers license forms. Guy with a HodjI accent claimed to be some official. Before he got around to the scam asking for money part, I told him I retired from the FBI and for him to call a fusion center. He then demanded my badge number I hung up. Entertaining scams but get old almost everyday number is 628-433-9373
628 254 0564 is impersonating CEO Michael Thon of Pershing Trading and Leasing Company out of TX. I have a profile on Truth Social and the so called Michael Thon has one there also and followed my posts, starting messaging me claiming to be a Christian, widower with no children. I came out and stated from the beginning of a couple of days chats on Truth Social that I was cautious and being scammed by several men.

628-955-389 Stated that I have park tickets and that I need to pay ASAP. But I Don’t have a car and I don’t drive
628-283-9971 sent a text with a link. The text said that my package could not be delivered because of an incomplete address. Did not click the link.
I got the same exact text from 628-946-6573
Received text message regarding picking up an Apple shipment and pay the shipping costs. I didn’t order anything from Apple
I received a call today at 9:33 am from 628-203-3914. I didn't recognize the area code or number so I didn't answer it. They went to my voicemail and it was lengthy, but all that was on the voicemail was static.
On August 27,2020 I got a phone call from 628 208 6091. A woman's voice said this call is from Social Security and that it was an important message. My account was frozen due to criminal activity associated with my number. Immediately a man with a typical foreign accent gives his fake name and tells me this is an important call and that I must call the number he is giving me immediately. I told the man I know this is a scam. I know you are not with Social Security and I am turning the number in for the fake call and the fraud crime. He hung up fast! I live in far south Texas. This is probably the 1oth time this particular scam call has come to me in the last 6 or 7 years.
I don't have a full phone#, I keep getting calls from 56286893, I haven't answered because of the phone # showing, they redial several times, I would block by I have an old phone that has no block on it
