The fake "Diplomat Scott Williams" email below is a scam. Recipients are asked to delete it and should not follow the instructions in it. The fake email is being sent by scammers who are attempting to trick their potential victims into sending them money or personal information by impersonating someone else. An advance-fee scam is a form of fraud and one of the most common types of confidence trick. The scam typically involves promising the victim a significant share of a large sum of money, in return for a small up-front payment, which the fraudster requires in order to obtain the large sum.

Subject: Greetings dear beneficiary..

Dear beneficiary ,

This email is to inform you that we received information from the delivery officer Mr. Scott Williams, complaining that you have refused to receive your fund worth $ 7.5 million dollars.

The delivery officer warned that he may abandon the delivery of the fund.

Please you need to reply back to me right away and let me know what is the problem because you must need to receive your fund immediately before Thursday 14 March 2019, or you may lose the fund.

Await your update right away
