The Twitter Change Your Birth Year to 2007 Prank or Hoax

Some Twitter users fell for the "Twitter Change Your Birth Year to 2007" prank and got their account suspended for hours. The prank claims Twitter users can change their birth year to 2007 in their profile to unlock new color schemes, but if they try, Twitter's system will automatically lock them out of your account because Twitter doesn't allow anyone under 13 years old to use their system. Changing your birth year to 2007 will make you 12 years old or younger.

Twitter has automatically prevented users under 13 years old from using the social network since May 2018, and its terms of use state that the social network is "not directed to children."

Please don’t follow the instructions in the prank or hoax because Twitter doesn't have different color schemes based on your birthday.

Twitter said that anyone locked out of their account erroneously could follow instructions in an email they should have received from Twitter or fill out an online form.

Magero Ronnie -RonnieMagero Fell for the oldest trick in the book changed my birth year to 2007 because of some tweet that said your twitter changes colour and got suspended for some hours for being below 13 years
