0114 212 5882 HRMC Scam Calls

I received a convincing telephone call from 0114 212 58829 claiming to be HRMC and threatening high court action unless I made an immediate down payment on a tax debt. I called the tax man who confirmed that this is a malicious call to extract money in a very convincing way, which I nearly fell for.

I also received call from this number and voicemail was recorded with automated strong American accent recording suggesting it is HMRC and I will be taken to court if there is no response in due time.
