I received a demand from Arvato located at www.arvatofs.com by email, which so badly produced it looked like a scam and I was about to delete it. I wonder why it wasn't rejected by anti-spam automatically! There was no letterhead or logo, nothing to say who they were, no company address, etc. I'm pretty sure for a registered company that's actually illegal! The demand turned out to be genuine enough (my mistake - overlooked paying for something I thought was cancelled), but the way Arvato handled it was totally unprofessional.
Even their website is garbage - click the wrong button and you're stuck - "back" in the browser doesn't work, and there is no menu to navigate your options! The reference numbers in the "letter" which you download from them tells you who the debt is for, but none of the reference numbers or other information give any details at all about it, nor relate in any way to the original debt. Clicking on "Who are Arvato...." gives "An error occurred while processing your request."
