I received a call. My phone rejected it as spam, but they left a message. I called back because I was concerned, and gave them my zip code. They had the name of my bank, a local bank, and said there had been suspicious activity on my debit card. While I'm on hold I looked up my bank's security phone number and it wasn't this number so I hung up.
I received the same text as the others and I called back seeing as how I did use a Wells Fargo atm machine earlier today and I couldn’t withdraw the amount that I was aiming to withdraw but could do a smaller one. The text came in at 6:15 pm and I called twice the line died after it rang a time or two, I blocked the number but not before attempting to send this cute text “The police have been reported of this number as it seems to be a scam number... Thank You!“ & am on the phone with my bank locking my card temporarily until I can at least change my PIN number. Text message reads:Wells_Fargo" (Contact us immediately at: 8337821819) E42FA20B
Received text today from Wells Fargo.
I just got one and dud not respond to them as I felt it was a scam
Got a text today from Wells Fargo but I do not use Wells Fargo for anything
We live in SC, and we received a text message today (10-24-21) from this number, stating it was from Wells Fargo and telling us to contact them immediately at 833-782-1819. We knew better than to call them, so we blocked the number and deleted it.
Received text mid-morning today! From the looks of it, I had an idea it was a scam. Deleted it after researching the number online.
I received the txt but I knew better and did not touch it. My bank would not send such a txt.
Currently, received this text this morning. I called the number back and it says it is Wells Fargos' security department and notifying me that my card had been locked and if I wanted to unlock my card now press 1, otherwise press 2. After pressing 1 it asks you to enter your 16 digit card number followed by the "#" . I did not enter any information .
Received text from above number under pretext of Wells Fargo. Fraudulent!
The scammers must be on a roll. I also got a text at 9:22 last night from 'Wells Fargo' telling me to call back immediately. I, too, didn't respond because we don't have any accounts at Wells Fargo. If any bank needs to speak with you immediately they will call on the phone and leave a voice mail, not send you a text.
