8125652928 Chase Bank Scam Calls and Texts - 812-565-2928

It appears scammers are calling and sending texts from 8125652928 and pretending to be Wells Fargo. If you have received a call or text from 812-565-2928, do not follow the instruction in it. Instead, call Wells Fargo directly using the number at the back of your card or on their website, to verify the authenticity of the call or text.     just rvd 3 text in a roll because I keep deleting them saying they are from chase bank mobile department to contact (812} 565 2928 #NOW msg:ID 147 373 and 342CARDLOCK this has been going on all afternoon every time I deleted them they send another

    Received a text “FRM:ChaseBank-Mobile-Deparmenet-to contact 8125652928 #NOW. MSG:ID XXXX (4 numbers)CardLocked!” They can’t even spell Department correctly! Have now received 4 texts with different MSG:ID numbers. Now have one from 1 (401) 100-019. I don’t have a Wells Fargo card. ChaseBank is mentioned in each of them. I don’t have a ChaseBank App.

    Just received a text from a 410-200-502 to contact the 8125652928 number with s MSG:ID: 170 Cardlocked!

    It says it's from Chasebank - APP. I don't have the app on my phone.

    Over the last 25 min, I've rcvd 5 texts, ostensibly from Chase Bank, saying 'card locked!', and leaving the 812-565-2928 number to call "now". I'll share this with my banker on Tuesday, when I have a meeting scheduled, but in the past when something like this happened via email, Chase acted very unconcerned.

    Fairland, Indiana- today Sunday October 24, 2021 I have gotten 6 messages today from Chase bank..it gives 812-575-2928 as a phone number and links and gives a different card # each time saying card locked..I don't even have chase bank for anything!

    The indicated number is coming to me as a link in 9 or more text messages sent this afternoon (Sunday 24-Oct-2021). The 'number' of the sender each time is ever so slightly different from the one before: 14101x000x, where the digits I marked x vary in value. The message is the same every time: claiming to be about the Chase app and the notification that one's Chase card has been locked. It's the same as shown in one of the earlier comments here except with a different number after "Msg ID". I forwarded an example to my cell provider, but I'm not hopeful they'll do anything about this.

    My thoughts: Good, lock the card cause it is not mine. My Chase accounts were closed over 15-years ago.

    I don't have a chase bank card or account so I forwarded the message to AT&T spam call. You forward the text message to 7726(spam) and then they will request the number that sent you the message. I have done this to everyone of them the moment I report it they send me a new message. I have received 7 messages so far

      Same, and each text is a whole new message thread. My phone is filled with these spam texts and I cannot find my normal texts without scrolling down a bunch. This article mentions Wells Fargo but in my case they are claiming my chase card is frozen.
