085 387 Scam Calls - Social Protection Services

Scammers are calling from 085 387 telephone numbers pretending to be from the Social Protection Services claiming my PPS number has been compromised. If you have received 085 387 scam calls, please share your experience by leaving a comment below. And, include the telephone number the scam call came from.

  • 085-387-5500

    Automated audio - Stating PRSI number was associated with fraudulent activity in North Dublin.

    That I needed to press "1" on the phone to stop fraud happening and me being prosecuted.

    I just hung up.

    Just got a call from 085 387 5898

    Saying they’re from dept of social protection and could I please confirm my name and address

    I said no

    They said you need to confirm your details or you will not get your money

    I said what money

    They sounded like they were in a crowded room with kids running around

    I just hung up
