Online scammers are sending the fake PCR My Order scam text below to potential victims with a link to pcr-my-order.com from a fake NHS contact tracing number. The aim of the Contact Tracing text scam, which claims the recipients have been in close contact with a confirmed case, is to frighten and trick them into clicking the link. The link goes to a phishing website that steals personal and financial information.

On the phishing website, visitors will be asked to purchase a testing kit and will be asked for personal and financial information in order to do so. But, if the requested information is submitted, it will be sent to the scammers behind the fake text, who will use it fraudulently.
If you have been tricked into submitting your financial information by the PCR scam, please contact your bank for help.

Received a text from 07786 306316 this morning with the same message. I wouldn’t have believed it was genuine as no NHS reference but can understand why people might, especially if, like me, they have recently been on a plane.
447786304978 texted me at 04:34 on Sunday 27th March 2022.Message read "Tracing Notification: You've recently been in close contact with a confirmed case. You must book a test kit: https://pcr-my-order.com"I stupidly followed the link and they asked for NAME, ADDRESS, and then payment details. At this point, I sussed that it was a scam.BEWARE! It's quite scary to receive these texts. BLOCK and DELETE the text, if you get one too.
