Scamming - Fraud
Scammers are sending the "Local Depot 23" scam text below with a link to the phishing website: local-depot23.com. The phishing website purports to be the UK Post Office and claims a package needs to be redelivered. It then requests a fee of £1.45 for the re-delivery and requests your credit card details and security code. But, if the requested information is sent, it will be used fraudulently.
"Your parcel is waiting for delivery, please confirm the settlement of £1.45 on the following link local-depot23.com"
If you have been tricked by the Local Depot 23 scam and have submitted your credit card information, please contact your bank for help.

How does local-depot23 get my mobile number?
I’ve had loads, when I got the first one I said to my husband it’s a scam, we were waiting for a parcel but my first thought was none of the parcels delivery companies would know my phone number, they’d leave a card in the door, but it’s very clever and sneaky, but they’d have to get up really early to catch me.So anyone who gets one just remember the post office or any other delivery company only have your address they don’t have your mobile number
As many people..I was expecting royal mail delivery, but got text from number that took me to re delivery site.Took me a bit till I realised it was not royal mail site. But looks genuine site of post office! After inputting my postcode, I was asked to pay for re delivery..being super tired..that’s what woke me up. 🙈Fake site! SCAMMERS!
I received this text aswell today. Only put postcode an part of my name in, then stopped and deleted site and text. Will block it if received again.Thankfully didn’t enter any sensitive stuff…..it’s a very professional scam website.
received a text today saying that Simon ( very busy boy) attempted to deliver today your parcel but no one answered. Reschedule & track parcel at 'local-depot23.com. I did think it was a scam and checked my ring doorbell to double check. You guessed it no one came to my door.
I received a text today as follows "Simon attempted to deliver today your parcel but no-one answered. Reschedule & track parcel at hits://local-depot23.com". This website required name address including postcode and a choice of delivery dates as expected but also date of birth and then went on to mention a charge for redelivery for £1.20 followed by a request for debit/credit card details. At this point I realised it was a scam and logged out.
