M&T Alerts Text Scam Regarding Purchases Made on My Account

I keep getting text alerts from M&T Bank asking if I made a purchase, but I don't even have an account with them. I called M&T Bank and they said it a scam because they want you to enter all your account information, they said to notify a local branch and show them the text scam.
