8482449933 PNC Alert Scam Text Approve Decline Transaction

Scammers are sending the PNC Bank text scam below to potential victims asking them to call the fake PNC Bank customer service 848 area code telephone number 848-244-9933. Therefore, recipients of the scam text message are asked not to call the telephone number in it or respond to it.

The aim of the PNC Bank scam text is to trick potential victims into calling the scammers behind it. If contacted, the scammers will pretend to be PNC customer service and attempt to trick the potential victims into disclosing their account credentials, personal, and financial information, which they will use fraudulently.

If you were tricked into disclosing your account credentials and finanical information to the scammers, please contact PNC Bank for help. Their legitimate customer service telephone number is: 1 (412) 803-7711 or you can go to PNC's website at www.pnc.com/en/customer-service.html for contact details.

    I just received the same message and it asked for my full "security social number". No one would ever ask for the entire number, only the last 4 digits. I hung up and deleted the message.

    This happened to me, husband sent me a message to call and I didn't find out until after I'd entered my ss# that it wasn't really PNC. Also that he received a text message which the bank would never send.

      One measure would be to lock your credit reports immediately.

    True, this is a scam, received a message "A New Purchase of $108.76" - Call -us today at 848 244 9933) to approve/decline. when I had called, the voice asked to key in the last 4 digits of the SS number, then it asks for the full SS number. People be careful.
