Is a Scam URL Shortener?

Is a Scam URL Shortener? abuses links to change and redirect them to scam, malware, and adult sites! When you register on and add a link that you want to advertise, the link is changed so that a short advertisement is displayed as soon as someone clicks on it. This is how you are supposed to make money. But, it just shows one advertisement after the other and they are all just scam ads that also lead to malicious, spam, or dubious adult sites that want you to sign up. You will almost never get to the actual advertised website.

Therefore, people who click shorten links run the risk of getting infected with malware or sent to a spam or adult websites that trick then into signing up for unwanted services. They may also be taken to phishing websites that steal personal and financial information that will be used fraudulently.
