• Account Freezes: Many users report sudden account terminations or funds being locked. This usually occurs due to Uphold’s automated compliance and fraud-prevention software triggering a review, sometimes after a single standard transaction is incorrectly flagged as an anomaly.
• Fees and Pricing: Users often express frustration over Uphold's pricing model. The platform charges a flat fee for smaller transactions and utilizes a "spread" markup on crypto trades that can make it more expensive than dedicated spot exchanges.
