Digicel Promotion Text Message Scams

Digicel promotion scam alert. Digicel is advising customers to be on alert for a scam in which text messages are sent asking them to call a number in order to claim a prize. The numbers identified so far are +0037127912981,+37127912900, and +0037127955046. Digicel is urging everyone to avoid calling these numbers as this is not a legitimate promotion.

Digicel phone, informing me that my mobile is Winner, dls 75,000 and a vehicle, 4 x 4, more information, tel 0050246982843.<br/>My mobile is 095757***, I wonder if the promotion is legitimate. I have the name of the officer and I call tomorrow at 11 hrs of my country, Uruguay.

    I received this in Spanish as well big scam...

    Felicidades! Telefonia Digicel te Informa que eres Ganador (a) de $50,000 dls y un vehiculo Mdl 2,013 llama ya al Tel:01150258331835.

    Translation:

    Congrats! Digicel Telephony Tells you you're Winner (a) of $ 50,000 and a vehicle Mdl dls 2,013 calls and at Tel: 01150258331835.

    Got from 00371 27910639. Figure it was a scam so I googled it.

    I also so received the text scam from +0037178912434 today. Figured it had to be a scam so I googled it and found this web page.
