The malicious software were put on the malicious website by cyber-criminals to trick visitors to the website, into believing that they are receiving legitimate software updates. But, once visitors attempt to download and install the malicious software on the website, thinking the software are legitimate, their computers will get infected with a virus, Trojan horse or other malware.
