The email message below: "SKY - Account suspended, please upgrade to new version now," is a phishing scam. The email message was not sent by Sky Mail although it may appear so. It was instead sent by cyber-criminals who are attempting to trick the recipients into clicking on the link within it, which will take them to a fake Sky Mail website. If the potential victims enter their email addresses, user names and passwords on the fake website, it will be sent to the cyber-criminals behind it, who will use the information to hijack their Sky Mail accounts.

The link in the fake email message goes to a fake webpage which will ask the recipients, who have clicked on the link, for their email address, user name and password, claiming the information is needed to upgrade their email accounts. But, once the information is entered, it will be sent to the cyber-criminals behind the fake Sky Mail web page and email message, who will use it to hijack the email accounts and use them fraudulently.
If you were tricked into entering your SKY Mail credentials on the fake website, should change your Sky Mail password immediately. And for those persons who are unable to change their passwords, should contact Sky immediately.
