The email message below with the subject: "PayPal Inc Unusual Connection Activities," which claims that PayPal has received a request to reset the recipients' password because there have been unusual log-in activities on their accounts from an unrecognized device, is a phishing scam. The fake email message was created by cyber-criminals to trick the recipients into clicking on one of the links in it, which will take them to a phishing PayPal website, where the recipients will be asked to sign-in. Any information submitted on the fake or phishing PayPal website will be sent to the cyber-criminals, who will use it to hijack their victims' PayPal accounts.
Persons who have already fallen victim to the phishing scam should change their PayPal passwords immediately and check their accounts for discrepancies.
