Do Not Call 855-955-7790 - it is a Fake Technical or Customer Support Number

Do not call telephone number 855-955-7790 or accept calls from it because it is a fake technical or customer support number. The number is being used by cyber criminals to trick their potential victims into calling them by claiming it is a LinkedIn Customer Service, Instagram Customer Service, Amazon Customer Service, Facebook Customer Service, Pokemon Helpline or Whatsapp Technical Support phone number.

If potential victims call the number they will be greeted by scammers pretending to be customer or technical support representatives from one of the popular Internet companies. The scammers will then attempt to trick the callers into giving them their online account credentials, personal and financial information.

If the scammers receive the requested information, they will use it to gain access to their potential victims' online accounts, hijack them and use them fraudulently. The scammers will also use their potential victims' credit card information fraudulently and will sell their potential victims' personal information to other scammers who will attempt to the scam the same victims.

The scammers may also call their potential victims from 855-955-7790, therefore, recipients of telephone calls from the same number are asked not to answer or disclose any sensitive information to the callers.

I did give one of my credit card information and they, said it was invalid and asked for another card.

I thus became suspicious ad asked "what company is this?".

They said "a very good company". I asked again and they hung up.

I have locked the card with the card company.

Do you have any other advise for me?

Check your credit card statements and report any fraudulent charges to your bank.
