Warning - Yahoo Incoming Mails Placed on Pending Status due to Upgrade is a Scam

Yahoo users asked to delete emails like the one below, which claim their incoming mails were placed on pending status due to the recent upgrade to Yahoo's terms. This is a because the emails are a scam being sent by cyber criminal to their potential victims. The cybercriminals trick their potential into clicking on the link in the fake emails, which goes to fake or phishing Yahoo website. Once on the fake website, Yahoo users will be asked to sign-in, but any attempt to sign-in will result in their account credentials (usernames and passwords) being sent to the cybercriminals.

Once the cybercriminals have received the account credentials, they will use it to gain access to their victims' accounts, hijack and use them fraudulently.

Here is another scam: - Forwarded Message - From: AT&T Yahoo Mail Sent: Thursday, May 16, 2019, 5:01:13 AM PDT Subject: New Version! Your three incoming mails were placed on pending status due to the recent upgrade to our database. CLICK HERE Protecting your information is important to us and we work continuously to strengthen the threats targeting our Financial Institution. Thanks for choosing AT&T Mail.

I received this email on the morning of 7/30/18. Not checking first I went through the steps outlined in the email and it seemed to do nothing. But afterwards did a search to find out that it was a scam that will take all my online information.
So since I pay for alot of items online I went to all my websites to make sure my credit card information was not saved on any site. Now to keep my fingers crossed that I am okay. I will update however if I get hacked.

Here is another scam: "From: Yahoo! Date: March 27, 2018 at 7:28:18 PM PDT Subject: Important Information Regarding Your Account Dear, Some of your incoming mails are pending due to the recent upgrade in our policies, In order to receive the messages LOGIN NOW to read and automatically accept for all messages to be delivered. Thank you. © Yahoo! 2018. All rights reserved."
