Ray Ban Instagram Scam: Fake Sunglasses Store

Instagram users are being alerted to a new Ray Ban sunglasses scam which trick potential victims into visiting a stores that steal personal and financial information. Instagram users may have noticed that some of your Instagram friends have shared photos of hugely discounted Ray Ban sunglasses (see below), that advertises designer shades for a whopping 90% off their original price. But, remember, if it sounds too good to be true, then it usually is.

If you see these ads please do not click on them, just delete them instead or report them to Instagram. If you think your account was compromised and is being used to spread the fake Ray Ban sunglasses ads, please change your password. For Instagram users whose account have been hijacked, they may click here for help.

This is continuation of the resumption long-established abuse of compromised social media accounts to post fake ads, or ads for fake goods. Over the years we have seen Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and other online platforms abused to post ads for various footwear brands (notably Adidas and UGG), medications, and Ray Bans, among many other things.
